Who am I?

My name is Lauren Speer. I’m a 25-year-old goofball who is studying international diplomacy and politics. I live in DC where I attend grad school at American University, where I’m pursuing a Master’s degree in International Politics. I’d like a Master’s, and then a PhD, and then a million dollars. We’ll see how many of those I end up getting (I’m hoping for three of three!).

This blog chronicles the fun stuff I do in DC with my friends and family. However, because I’m mostly a boring person, there’s sometimes not very much to say. It wouldn’t be much of a blog if seven posts in a row were “Still watching TV with my pals every night, doing a little studying and a lot of procrastinating!” But occasionally I do post-able stuff, and take interesting pictures, or have amusing thoughts, so when that happens, I’ll share it here.

Also, aren’t I great at self-promotion? “Please read my blog, even though I’m boring and post irregularly?” Great thinking, Lauren!
